Under general direction, supervises all Meigs Center staff assigned (e.g., schedules and assigns tasks, recommends discipline, evaluates job performance, reviews and adjusts complaints, recommends approval of leave requests, recommends policy changes, has access to employees’ personnel files, reviews time cards, etc.). Coordinates day-to-day operations of Meigs Center (e.g., manages and maintains budgets, files, correspondence, calendar, appointments, meetings, compliance rules, special requests, etc.); monitors budget; prepares reports; develops course schedules; monitors enrollment data, work with facility and Academic Leadership as needed to ensure proper programming and delivery modalities to the students of Meigs County. Coordinates with outreach and recruitment staff for activities and student retention efforts; plans facility events and activities; plans regional marketing activities in conjunction with RGCC team; researches labor market data; provides career and entrance information and assistance to students, teachers, parents, and counselors, work with local guidance counselors on initiatives pertinent to the Meigs Center. Engage in community activities as necessary to become and remain and integral part of the local community. Coordinate facility maintenance as needed at the Meigs Center, Jackson Center, and McArthur Center, included but not limited to: development and management of a maintenance request system, oversight of all maintenance work and outdoor grounds work, security systems installation and upkeep, and capital budget oversight. As the Associate Director of the Meigs center, I provided administrative leadership in managing the day to day operations of a 14,000 square ft. facility and serve as a liaison for the faculty and students. I possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a high-volume, fast-paced, goal-oriented atmosphere, both independently and as part of a unified team. I assisted in the administration of business operations for the facility including budgeting, financial management, planning, reporting, and analysis. I was charged with designing and implementing our emergency policies and procedures facility plan and oversee and train employees along with assist in the creation and updating of training procedures and materials for employees. Charged with compliance, we implemented an internal operations audit, to ensure we are operating efficiently and effectively. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. My staff function in a one-stop-for-all-your-needs role and customer service is our top priority. In addition my staff and I pride ourselves on our ability to troubleshoot issues and offer positive reinforcement to encourage student success and completion, a key focus as part of the new success driven state funding formula. Director of the Workforce Development initiative in our Southern Ohio region working with our Business and Industry partners to identify "skills gaps" in the workforce and tailor academic programs to fit specific customer needs. I took a holistic approach to career pathways, determining individual paths from on the job training, assessments, classroom curriculum and funding sources available. Created a self-sufficient department from ground zero to earning a net income of 250K in less than 3 years. Prepared budgets, business plans and studies for state and institutional initiatives. Interviewed, hired and administered entire process of trainers to be employed. Administered, secured and maintained grants for companies to utilize. Evaluated trainers and performed quality assessment. Secured internships and co-ops for students in welding, advanced manufacturing, computer science and software engineering. Provided training to individuals and companies to improve their soft skills, technical skills, and professional knowledge. Attended several conferences, continuing education opportunities and had the privilege of being a part of a few organizations that paved the road to continuing success in Southeast Ohio. I was proud to be apart of The Enterprise Ohio Network, Workforce Ohio, Get Into Energy and the Governors Office of Workforce Transformation. Show less
