Located in a rural farming/fishing village with a team of 22 UK and Ghanaian volunteers. I learned the most vital lessons in teamwork especially within such a diverse group of people. I became highly adaptable to any situation. I organised and ran community health events. - Planned and delivered community based educational talks on water, sanitation, sexual health and awareness, whilst ensuring cultural appropriation was kept in mind during the talks. - Working within a mixed nationality team to organise the talks within our groups and planning the delivery of the talks in multiple languages. - Reaching out to the local communities to establish a rapport and maintain a professional relationship. Tailoring the level and type of information within the talks to the level of understanding of the audience. Show less
