In January 2023, Bas Redhead, a marketing director with whom I've had the chance to work with previously, contacted me to see if I was interested to join a sustainable and evolutionary scale-up company called Finch Buildings, to provide social media and content strategy support. As a newly started freelancer, I was interested in adding a third client to my weekly schedule. We immediately set up a meeting with the founder, Jurrian Knijtijzer and agreed on terms for six months. So here I am as I write this - helping to make a real impact within the construction industry. Finch Buildings creates modular based homes, appartment, buildings, offices and more, from cross laminated timber, in an extremely efficient time period, with considerably less CO2, noise and visual pollution. And I couldn't be more satisfied with such project and responsibility - especially when I meet newly moved in couples, singles or families, to whom we hand the keys and hear their story. Climate change is not waiting for us. And if we don't change the way we work, who will? Show less

At first, I started working in this position in order for it to remain part-time - but it quickly took over my day-to-day work. As time passed and tasks/projects accumulated, I started to really enjoy the freedom and self-organization that freelancing involves. Synergium always brought me quality feedback on my work and the enjoyment of working for them is very present, especially when they offer you to work for third-party clients such as Google, Spotify and Twitter. And as a multilingual person myself, speaking respectively, natively, fluently and conversational French, Swedish, English, Dutch and German, I am only left wondering why I haven't worked within the translation sector before! As I was translating mainly towards Swedish and performing better than the requested KPIs, Synergium offered me the position of language lead, i.e. the Swedish language and quality representative in specific projects. Synergium then introduced me to Welocalize, which is a major translation and localization company that has multiple translation agencies and worldwide partners under their scope, and with which I am working on specific projects that require my expertise within the Swedish language. In addition to the daily translations and editing tasks, I am now also managing a pool of 80 Swedish linguists around the world, making sure we meet the deadlines and the requirements of each third party that is working with Welocalize. I hold weekly meetings with the linguists and monthly meetings with my superiors where I am presenting the results of my team throughout the month. In order to facilitate communication, I have put in place various communication channels with the Swedish linguists, as well as the creation of documents that would help them perform and improve their results. As for today (December 2022), and since taking up the position in September, my team and I have turned around the situation as the Swedish language is now one of the best-performing languages, where our results have reached the KPIs and gone beyond the requirements for four consecutive months. Before my arrival, the Swedish language had been failing for five consecutive months. I hope to remain close to Welocalize and continue working with them in the coming months! Show less

Shiran Gort, the founder of Four Leaves and for whom I did an internship in 2021, called me right before the Dutch Design Week 2022 asking me if I'd be interested to help them shoot and create content for their pop-up space during the event. I accepted and felt straight away home within the team again. Therefore, we decided to work together for a longer period as we noticed the efficiency of our partnership, from ideas and brainstorms to practical pieces of content and photoshoots. I also manage the current interns that are responsible for social media, guiding them in their decision-making and planning what needs to be done during the days of the week that I am not there. I feel and notice a large improvement in my creative skills. Being constantly and every week required to propose something new, that brings brand awareness and sales, is very fulfilling to me. Whether it is organizing my ideas, planning, discussing with the team, creating, drafting, watching Youtube tutorials for a specific effect or transition I have in mind, browsing non-copyright sounds until finding the perfect one, pushing my creativity by always proposing multiple options and all the other steps of the creative process. I find myself extremely attentive and concentrated, and as I am very much an autodidact, I am happy to see progress. Not only within the content I produce, but also in the way, I adapt my creativity to the brand, the tone of voice, the vision and the high-end look we want to show. Hopefully, and with more time and work from my side, I will be able to take on different content creation jobs for other companies, and understand immediately what they are looking for. And have the technical level in Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and After Effects to achieve it. Show less

    • Content Creator and Strategist / Farm Host / Production Assistant
      • Dec 2021 - Mar 2022

A very promising position on a farm in the north of the beautiful island of Ibiza. The aim was to develop a skincare and condiments brand made (almost) exclusively from products from the farm's soil. My role was to organise a content plan and create the latter out of the daily farm work with the farmers, and also to grasp how important the systems around regenerative agriculture really were. Since we were building a brand, I also took care of experimenting with the products, developing their production and distributing samples to strategic partners. Working for the owner of the farm also allowed me to become the farm host when she was not there: I therefore received and took care of different personalities, architects and business partners when needed. Unfortunately, due to internal discrepancy and events, I was forced to leave the farm around mid-March 2022. Show less

Worked alongside my internship to immerse myself in the dutch culture, meet new people and learn the language more easily. Very chic but funky restaurant, known for its atmosphere and events with magazines like VogueNL as well as various artists, entrepreneurs and brands. A reputed restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam, where the high-end quality of the service is key and where a high pace and working under pressure ability is required. Content Creator and Marketing Intern, planning on various digital channels, as well as some operational inquiries. An absolutely fantastic internship in a fast-paced and growing start-up. Learning and interning for Shiran Gort was truly inspiring in terms of vision, sustainability, product quality and work ethic. During my time there, I got the chance to meet and work with some of our partners such as Dopper and Decor Amsterdam. This brought me confidence in my creativity and my work ethic, which led to the point where Dopper asked Shiran and myself to come to the European Parliament in Brussels to show a movement against single-use plastic. And make content out of the trip. Four Leaves and the team were an amazing encounter and brought me a lot of personal evolution as well. Learning about high-end fashion and textiles, the development of a collection, the tone of voice, the brand identity and the creative vision behind it, the marketing, the supply chain with manufacturers in Europe and Asia or even the complexity of becoming a lifestyle brand... Four Leaves taught me a lot. Today, the company is listed by Forbes.com. Show less

When Covid-19 started, I began teaching myself the fundamentals of Digital and Influencer Marketing through my entrepreneurial activity on various social media but also through books. I have created content in all forms and shapes, going from the basic editing of photos and videos to using softwares such as Final Cut Pro or Pro Tools, allowing the editing of short films or podcasts. I had the opportunity to work with a sound engineer who proposed to collaborate and master the sounds of my podcasts, which are available on all streaming platforms. I've also had the privilege to create content and be partially employed by a French music producer, who was seeking entertainment and news content for his feed. This entire adventure and activity led me to really understand the Instagram algorithm (at least back then!), allowing me to reach a follower count of approx. 11 000, and where my videos (reels and tiktoks) have surpassed 2 million total view times. Below is the link leading you to all the platforms I produced content on (if they are still online). Show less

I developed a social media strategy and content management method (Instagram and Facebook) for the GoSmile Uganda foundation and in particular their GoHoney Project. My team and I created and executed a social media fundraising campaign for Go Honey. We raised over 700 euros in 3 months and worked on a business plan to ensure the project's durability. In addition, I learned the organisational structure and functioning of a Non-Governmental Organisation.
