Individual therapy is the focus. Our Veterans don't spend their days with 10-20-30 or more clients in education classes or big, motivational groups; they don't travel to and from off-site offices or commercial centers for 'bulk' treatment. Our Veterans spend all of their time in our private, serene residences, participating in individual, one-on-one therapy and in very small group therapy sessions, supportive treatments, and other activities, where the focus is on the individual, not the group. Technology Development Officer, Underwater Mine Countermeasures

Headed technology innovation, staffing, and training for Navy's new mine countermeasures program to replace aging fleet of minesweepers and spotting aircraft with scalable assembly of unmanned and remotely operated underwater vehicles (UUVs/ROVs). Managed partnerships across U.S., Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Budget responsibility of $21.5M. - Re-conceptualized UUV deployment method for U.S. Marine Corps, creating strategy to eliminate need for special boats and trailers, saving $5M and precious deck space onboard U.S. Navy amphibious landing ships. - Selected to assess improvement potential for U.S. minesweeping operations in Europe, partnering with NATO members in multinational naval exercise, and convincing U.S. Navy to triple budget for European mine countermeasure operations. - Spearheaded first deployment of new UUVs in Korean waters as part of readiness exercise for war with North Korea; partnered with South Korean Navy and special operations teams in successfully locating 9/9 training mines in low visibility waters with erratic and strong currents. Directed integration of new UUV/ROV technology into Navy's Expeditionary Mine Countermeasure ExMCM global operational planning, and revised U.S. Pacific Command's mine countermeasure plans for war with China and North Korea, affecting 76 naval units with over 1,200 personnel. Liaised with global ExMCM program managers and senior officers across the world. - Wrote new operational plans for deployment of Navy mine-clearing forces, especially to key South Korean ports in the event of war with North Korea; program officially approved in 2015 after Navy had spent 5 years failing to formulate workable plan. - Created classified curriculum on own initiative and led program to teach junior field officers importance and effects of Navy war planning, reaching over 500 officers and significantly upgrading field leadership readiness. Led team of 5 EOD Special Operators in efforts to counter terrorist use of WMDs, global counterterrorism programs, and humanitarian initiatives in Australia, New Zealand, India, and Nepal. - Won personal thanks from head of Australian Special Operations Command and New Zealand Chief of Defense Forces for exceptional success in driving collaboration and consensus during combined special forces exercises, and for repairing former bad inter-service relations. - Designed and developed innovative, effective communications system with off-the-shelf technology to ensure stable communication between special forces and U.S. government officials, including Secretary of Defense, during critical operations to neutralize WMDs. - Planned and coordinated logistical efforts in first-ever Humanitarian Mine Action to aid Nepal in clearing mines left over from civil war, leveraging relationship management skills to ensure delivery of 7,000 lb. of equipment and medical supplies. Managed 6 EOD Operators and US Navy Divers attached to USS George Washington carrier strike group, part of US Navy's Pacific strike force during 2012 deployment; responsible for care and use of $7.5M in equipment. - Led team in de-fuzing 3 accidentally damaged and armed 1,000 lb. bombs in very difficult conditions, preventing catastrophic damage to $4.5B ship and saving hundreds of lives from among 5,000 complements. - Planned and led 2 EOD/diving exercises in partnership with the Hong Kong Police Department and Royal Malaysian Navy. Certified under the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), a United States Department of Defense security, medical and psychological evaluation program designed to permit only the most trustworthy individuals to have access to nuclear weapons (NPRP), chemical weapons (CPRP), and biological weapons (BPRP). As a security supervisor, planned, evaluated, and supervised the implementation of site-specific security plans to protect nuclear assets designated as vital to national security. Conducted offensive infantry tactics in confined spaces, ashore and afloat, to restore breached security and provide the final barrier/element of an integrated security plan for nuclear weapons.
