As Executive Vice President, Tom oversees the following departments: Legal/HR, Business Office, Financial Aid, Operations, I/T, and the Development/Alumni Affairs Office. He has excellent administrative and fiscal management skills. In addition, he speaks regularly at churches and non-profit functions as a motivational speaker. He is a skilled fundraiser, with several six and seven figure gifts. He maintains the largest producing donor portfolio for the university while providing strong administrative oversight for the institution. Tom also serves as the Executive Director for the Rochester University Foundation - a separate 501c3 responsible for the solicitation and investment of endowment gifts to the institution. Tom works with a Board of Directors consisting of Rochester University Trustees and community members dedicated to the mission of Rochester Univeristy. He is responsible for soliciting and overseeing the investment of endowment funds for the foundation. Tom speaks on behalf of the university at different venues throughout the Midwest. With fifteen years experience as a pastor, he speaks at retreats and planning workshops for churches. His marketing experience with IBM and Unisys, coupled with his work within development and alumni relations has afforded him opportunities to work with other non-profits in an advisory role.
