Taught 7th grade civics through an award-winning web site. Though Florida Virtual School had been experiencing consistent growth for the last 16 years, a 32 percent drop in enrollment, combined with the state's new budgeting model, required the school to make hundreds of tough decisions--I was one of roughly 800 teachers to be laid off. Thankfully, I was able to find a job less than two weeks later at Newpoint Academy. Taught 7th grade civics through an award-winning web site.
