Involved in the day-to-day running of this busy ranch. Procurement and financial management experience.Responsibilities also included managing and directing a team of workmen, overseeing the workshop area during machinery maintenance, managing dam rebuilding projects and assisting in the movement of livestock around the ranch.Worked closely with the veterinarian looking after the animal health and tracking the growth and reproduction rates of the livestock to help maintain a productive and healthy breeding programme of the herd.Planning and implementing grazing strategies covering the wet and dry seasons to insure the land remained healthy. These grazing plans were devised on a holistic grazing principal where the livestock are used to improve the productivity of the pastures.Management of the wildlife-livestock conflict on the ranch by using non invasive techniques. to keep a balance between the livestock and environment.
