      I helped the school start the first H.S. criminal justice course of study for strudents interested in becoming a police officer, detention officer, civilian law enforcement personnel or a lawyer. The course was four years in length meeting one or 2 periods a day. The student could earn up to 5 credit hours with three of them being Honors Level. Many of the students qualified for dual enrollment at Palm Beach State College.       During my 21 years with the department I was a patrol officer, a detective, a training sergeant, a patrol supervisor ( Sgt.), commander of the detective bureau ( Lt. ) and a patrol Capt.. During my time I accumulated 2,000 hours of classes and training including my A.S. & B.S, Degrees, as well as numerous police courses and specialized skills. I was also active in our Fraternal Order of Police Lodge # 19 serving 3 years as it's President. I subsequently spent 8 years on the Fl. State Lodge Elected Board with 3 years as State Lodge President. I am a life member of both Lodges.

      While on active duty I was deployed twice to Vietnam and once to the Mediteranean. I started as an Amphibious Tractor Crewman and when I was discharged I was an Ampibious Tractor Section Leader. During my 6 years I served in the Amtarc Bns. of all four active divisions, 1st & 3rd Vietnam, 2nd Camp Lejeune, and 5th Camp Pendleton. I was also stationed at Quantico for 2 years with the Amtarc section of Track Vehicle Company, S.D.T. for the training of U.S.M.C. Officers.
