  I have many years of experience in drafting and negotiating development agreements, construction contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, joint venture agreements, guarantees, bonds and other related agreements for clients, contractors and sub-contractors, and consultants engaged in all sectors of the construction and engineering industry in the UK and internationally. I also provide project advisory services with a view to the early resolution of issues arising during the lifespan of a project, based on a commercially realistic assessment of the respective parties' legal positions. As well as regularly advising on contracts in the commercial sector, I have particular experience of advising those involved in the process engineering and civil engineering sectors. In collaboration with Mark Bezzant, I drafted the Generic Form of Sub-Contract published by the Civil Engineering Contractors Association in September 2020 for use in connection with a wide range of bespoke and amended standard form main contracts.
