Tom helped transition me into both of my roles at CPL and did so with patience, thoughtfulness and kindness. He is 100% a team player and he thinks both about the big picture and the details before making a decision. His door was always open and he was ready to help no matter the task. He is the kind of colleague who makes work a happier place to be.

It has been such a privilege for me to work with Tom during my first year at Harvard Kennedy School's Center for Public Leadership. I have never before worked with someone who helped me understand and own my budgets in the way that Tom has. His willingness to partner with me on tackling some pretty complex and archaic budget practices and updating them has been invaluable and has made my fiscal work exceedingly more enjoyable and productive. His facility with excel allowed us to create templates to elegantly and simply capture the details of intricate annual calculations. Tom helped me in breaking down the building blocks of these calculations so that I could learn more about them, and together we rebuilt the calculations so that the end result was easy to understand. Tom is uniquely talented in this regard and I greatly appreciate his patience, his thoroughness and what I have learned from him.
