In this role I am responsible for all business aspects of the organisation including finance, estates, health and safety, operations and HR.I am responsible for an £8 million budget and have successfully reduced the schools deficit by over £400,000. We are on track to completely remove a £640,000 deficit within 3 years. I line manage a support staff team of over 30 staff across several departments including admin, HR, technical support and educational roles.As a member of the leadership team I work strategically to further develop the school and recently led the school's COVID response including testing and tracing cases. I work on campaigns and projects to market and advertise South Wirral High School to prospective students and their parents/guardians, as well as indirectly to other stakeholders such as Governors, Ofsted and the local community. In addition, I monitor, analyse and contribute social media activity and write press releases for advertising, leaflets and website, write creative briefs and print specifications, take photographs for leaflets, brochures, prospectuses and online use, write content for the school newsletter and update both the intranet and external website. In my role, I work closely with departments across the school (such as the Senior Management Team, Extended Leadership Team, work experience team and teaching staff) and external clients including publishers, printers, designers and local organisations.
