Tom and his organization's approach to learning are fantastic. He provides extremely meaningful solutions in an era where "microlearning" is a buzzword. The content iAM Learning publishes is microlearning, but it's not brief for the sake of being brief - it's thorough, thoughtful, and impactful. I have been immensely impressed with his training products. He's also a very nice guy to chat with. I recommend him and iAM Learning.

I have worked with Tom over a number of years. He was always the complete professional, reliable and also incredibly engaging as an individual. He took the time to understand our organisation and what we believed to be our unique needs. He ensured that whatever was delivered matched the needs we had identified and was delivered to time and to budget. His consultative approach and his ability to engage are just two of the qualities that I would highly recommend him for.

Back in mid to late 2018, I took the plunge and co-launched my own Learning Animation Studio. Fast forward four months - four months! - and With The Toms quickly became part of iAM Compliant. So what did that mean? Well... iAM Learning is now the new brand name in the learning sector. It’s made up of passionate, experienced and fun-loving people who really understand what’s needed to undertake great instructional design. We're essentially wizards who know how to tell a great story...stories that hit the right emotional sweet spots of your learners. Oh heck, we just make great learning content that we know you will love! If you want to get in touch I'd be happy to chat about: learning strategies, bespoke learning, animation, e-learning, games and gamification, interactive video, motion graphics, graphic design, induction, onboarding and animated explainer videos. Or you can just get in touch to chat about the latest episode of Hey Duggie (if you've got kids under the age of 5)! I did it. I started my very own Company. I’m proud to say I’m a Founder of With The Toms. With The Toms isn’t just a business. At least not to me. I’ve been fortunate enough in that every business I have worked in, I have done so alongside some very inspirational people. As such, what I do have is a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long (well approximately 15 years – that’s long right?) career. Skills that make me a nightmare to work in corporate environments anymore! So now I’m looking for you, I will find you and I will make some great content for you! Now that I’ve got that out of my system, let me tell you a bit more about With The Toms. In short, we’re a Learning Animation Studio. In the words of Tears for Fears, lets Break It Down… Learning: At our heart we are instructional designers and we only make engaging learning content. Our focus is bespoke projects and we offer an end to end service across the whole activity e.g. storyboarding, scripting, animation, voiceover, etc. Animation: We’re ace at animation! Whether it’s a jazzy PowerPoint or a Hollywood Blockbuster you’re after, With The Toms has you covered. Animation also doesn’t just mean cartoon characters, but rather carefully crafted hand-drawn characters and scenes that suit your audience and the theme of your materials. Studio: We have a very distinct set of skills (sorry nearly slipped back into Neeson mode there) and we love doing learning, but we also love doing work around inductions, on-boarding and marketing. Anything that involves video (of whatever kind) we can do. That includes interactive, virtual reality and augmented reality too! (Plus, we’re happy to get involved with games as well). Nothing would make me happier than talking to you about content. So, is your next bit of learning ‘With The Toms’? Excitingly merged and became a part of iAM Compliant after only four months of trading! Show less

    • Chief of Getting Stuff Done!
      • Apr 2018 - Aug 2018

In May 2018, I joined forces with an exciting business looking to rebrand its content, out of which the Mi Crow brand was formed. Fun, irreverent and quirky, it was an exciting start-up to be involved with. Mi Crow was (and still is) summarised by 3 key principles: Learning Made Easy, Fans not Customers and Precision Learning. In my role as Managing Director, I was involved in all areas of the business from branding to website design, product management, content creation, pricing, operations and strategy. Mi Crow now proudly sits as an up and coming disruptor within the content marketplace. Show less

    • Managing Director - Litmos Heroes (UK)
      • Aug 2017 - Apr 2018

For around two years I got to be part of a legacy. I was Managing Director for Learning (now Litmos) Heroes. I oversaw their transition through the acquisition by CallidusCloud and SAP. I oversaw content activities for CallidusCloud globally, looking after content creation across the US and EMEA.Highlights included launching the Heroes content library in Las Vegas, winning at the LPI Awards in February 2017 and bringing to market the innovative Skills in 60 Seconds Collection in 2018. Overall, having led and watched the growth of the business from 4 original Directors to a global content business (with 30 UK employees alone) leaves me feeling warm and fuzzy. Show less

So what exactly does a Head of HQ do I hear you ask? Well, apart from feeding the white cats, dropping some fish food into the shark tanks and making sure that the winged monkeys are ready to go, it is surprisingly simple. Over here at Learning Heroes, we have a great team of superheroes (and no villains), so my job is supporting them on our joint mission to save the world from boring e-learning.Equally, as a company, we tell everyone that we have two key principles: - In this role, I worked on behalf of the whole team, to make sure that we stayed true to our principles and continued to create a company that was innovative, disruptive, fun and a little bit wacky. I worked across all of the teams (production, customer delight and sales) to make sure that their superhero outfits (processes, systems and tools) were properly darned, washed and ready for action.Basically I was like a Mum & Dad rolled into one for our elite team of superheroes! • Business Development & Relationships Management
      • Jun 2016 - Aug 2016

I joined the team at Learning Heroes because, when I was growing up, I wanted to be a Super Hero. Some days I still wake up and want to wear my underpants outside my trousers. Somedays this happens, but only because I get dressed in the dark and have no fashion sense. My remit covered a whole host of things, but on a good day I could be found: managing relationships, working with our key partners / resellers, promoting content to UK member bodies (institutions, associations and unions), growing our presence in the international marketplace and, occasionally, secretly checking on the latest tennis scores.
