  Head of Operations - Development Cooperation - at Bishkek EU Delegation Preparation and execution of 7-year development strategy in collaboration with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic - main sectors Social Protection, Education (both using mostly direct budget support), Public Finance Management and Rule of Law. There were also a large number of human rights and non-state actor projects and a substantial programme under the EU's Instrument for Stability. I managed an 8-person section, which also ran two large Central Asia regional programmes on Border Management and a Drug Action Programme. I also managed the whole EU Delegation of 30 staff during absences of the ambassador.
