Our family have been donors ever since I can remember. It is an incredible way to help many others by simply providing an hour of your time 2-3 times each year. You even get to lie back and relax in the process! There is always a need, I encourage you to step forward and provide the gift of life to those in need. Volunteer - County Emergency Operations Center
-
Mar 2010 - Present
Volunteer: Participate in developing county emergency response plans for natural and man-made disasters. Work with adjoining county EOC's in mutual response tabletop exercises and with various local governments agencies in emergency preparedness. Participate in community awareness sessions to encourage local citizens to prepare for the potential events we will eventually experience. Our County is on the edge of the impact area for the Cascadian Subduction Zone earthquakes, we are home to Mt. St Helens, there are numerous land slides and we have 80% of the County in a National Forest that is overgrown and under-managed- so wildfires are an ever-present threat.
