  Senior Analyst working on sonar for anti-submarine defence. Using Python and Matlab to model sonar performance and develop processing algorithms. • Model the acoustic performance of sonar systems, individually or in a multistatic environment, within various tactical scenarios. Using analysis of the system to display the full capability of the sonar. • Create statistical analysis tools to determine optimum hydrophone setup working closely with the mechanical engineering team to help design sonar setup. • Plan and implement sonar systems sea trials in order to fully test the hardware and record preliminary sonar data utilised in the future algorithm development. • Develop sonar processing algorithms using Python, to perform the sonar beamforming and implemented in the final sonar software.

  Responsible for data analysis and processing onshore and offshore for multinational clients within the oil industry. The work involved vast amounts of data manipulation and coding, as we convert large-scale seismic surveys into an image of the subsurface. • Worked on many big data analysis and processing projects, focusing on the clients business needs. Undertook highly detailed analysis and modelling of large datasets, extracting information in order to create analytical solutions to best process the data from raw to final product. • Created a new statistical analysis product delivered to a specific client to review the success of the data processing implemented and to better understand the data itself. This product has since been rolled out for the entire company to deliver to all clients. • Demonstrated great resilience while working offshore for 3 months due to the COVID restrictions. Showing an ability to use initiative to run a project independently, while also demonstrating a capacity to function to a high level in an extremely stressful, volatile and fast paced environment. • Developed and maintained a close working relationship with clients working together offshore in order to understand client requirements and deliver a high quality product. Retaining the client’s trust and confidence allowed the project to run smoothly leading to the product being delivered early, and resulting in a special commendation from the client. Rarely received and leading to further work being awarded to the company. • Planned and organised wide range of social activities for the entire office of 200 people, raising morale and ensuing greater inter-departmental cooperation. • Fully certified to work offshore with medical and BOSIET certificates.

  I undertook my MSc thesis at Ion Geophysical, working as a student intern for the summer of 2016. My thesis is titled "First order multiple suppression for seismic data in shallow water exploration". • Analysed complex data sets using advanced querying, visualization, and analytics tools. Producing detailed and meaningful analysis in order to better understand the data needs and find a more complete solution to over arching issue of multiple suppression with seismic data. • Presented my results via report to the company, and via presentation to leading experts within the industry with excellent feedback received.
