PositivePlusOne is the social app for the HIV community. We provide a safe space for people living with HIV to connect, seek support, access education resources and become better activists and advocates for their own communities. As Content Manager it is my role to develop and produce a wide range of written, graphic and video content to engage our user-base - as well as attract new users. I'll be working with our users, charity and corporate partners to create content that reflects, and appeals to, our diverse audience. Show less

Editor-in-Chief

Jul 2013 - Sep 2022
beyondpositive magazine is a digital publication, updated on a daily basis. It's audience is people living with HIV, their friends and family, and those working in the HIV / Sexual Health sector. The content includes personal accounts of life with HIV, regular columnists both living with and working with HIV, news stories about HIV in the press, social and industry events, product reviews and updates on treatment and care. As beyondpositive's Editor-in-chief it is my responsibility, amongst other things, to take submissions, proof read, edit, format and add them to the CMS along with any relevant references and/or media. I also write the news pieces and manage the events side of beyondpositive. Through beyondpositive I have spoken at the UK House of Commons, the EU Parliament, the EU Commission and the United Nations on the subject of discrimination in healthcare and tackling the ongoing HIV epidemic. As well as appearing on national and international TV/radio. I also offer consultancy to a number of pharmaceutical firms on corporate responsibility and community engagement within the HIV positive community. Show less
