Head Coach
-
Nov 2020 - Present
I had the privilege of being the Head Coach for this amazing Rugby Club after previously representing them as a player. My overarching philosophy to coaching the club was to provide a platform that encourages players and coaches to take ownership and create a shared approach to season success and to create a fun, engaging and successful environment for players and coaches to enjoy the game, make memories on and off the pitch and keep wanting to come back for more. During my first season as Head Coach (2021), we took the decision to combine the Premier (1st Grade) and Reserve (2nd Grade) teams to create a 'Premier Squad' where all players were getting coached by the same coaches with a collective strategy and getting the same experience. This enabled squad rotation, a consistent approach to development and implementation of a unified vision. I was responsible for designing, communicating and delivering session plans, squad rotation, player development, liaising with co-coaches, Director of Rugby, Physio and S&C coaches, overall strategy, analysis (using HUDL), player 1-2-1's, coach 1-2-1's and match day experience across grades. In 2021, during the clubs 75th Year, Burnside became the first club in South Australia Rugby history to have won a clean sweep of all all senior grades including a Women’s premiership. Key Achievements: 2021 Minor Premiership Winners (for both Premier and Reserve Grades) 2021 Grand Finalists (for both Premier and Reserve Grades) 2021 Champions (for both Premier and Reserve Grades) 2022 Minor Premiership Winner (Reserve Grade) 2022 Grand Finalists (Premier Grade) 2022 South Australia Coach of the Year Show less

Voiteck was an Adelaide-based IP Telephony Solutions Provider, providing Australian SME’s with highly functional business telephone solutions, high speed internet and mobile plans. The company has seen rapid growth servicing thousands of users in a variety of business types and has recently been acquired by Vonex. My day-to-day role was to win new business accounts and account manage existing customers. The key was always to find out as much as I can about their business and current technology set-up and explain how we could increase their efficiency, enhance customer perception of the business and explore ways to make or save them money. KPI’s included self-generated meetings to coincide with meetings booked by a telemarketer, networking, doorknocking, working with our partners sponsoring of corporate events and of course hitting targets. The marketing verticals I had been most proficient in are Electrical companies, Pubs and Hotel groups, Real Estate and Commercial Cleaning companies. I was part of several networking groups and also account manage any business that I sold into which is very important in maintaining good relationships, accountability and referrals. Show less

Head Coach - Colts
-
Jun 2016 - Jul 2018
Colts age group included 16, 17 and 18-year-olds. Primary aim was to develop players to senior level and help provide the club with its next generation in a highly attritional phase . A grand total of 14 players from this group has since represented the club at senior level or is still playing rugby now. Worked with club Director of Rugby and Senior Head Coaches along with Co-Coaches to deliver the programme. We were granted a request by the Union to move up a league during mid-season after initially exceeding expectations in the competition we were allocated which helped expose the players to a better level of rugby.
