  After nearly 8 years in practice, i made the switch to Industry.I undertook the role of Head of Finance, managing a small accounts team, and accepting overall responsibility for the Finance function of both our Care Home and our Sheltered Housing.Key responsibilities include the production of Board Reports, Management Accounts, Budgeting & Forecasting, Payroll, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Year End Accounting.Alongside these responsibilities the finance function is becoming more and more involved the day to day operation of the home, including various staff matters, maintenance programs, recruitment, rostering etc.

• Audit Senior

  I work on the audit of companies, including charities and solicitors, primarily in the Audit Senior role. In this role I plan audits, plan the assurance necessary and design tests specific to the needs of the client, and complete the audit. I also oversee the work of junior auditors, assisting, reviewing and training as necessary. I have worked on a variety of sizes clients from small to large, from single family businesses to multi national groups. I interact with clients on a daily basis, helping to manage the progress of audits, and client expectations. In my earlier years of employment I worked within accounts preparation for companies, partnerships and sole traders, and have retained these skills through my time in audit.
