I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Tom for over four years and it has been an absolute honor working with Tom. Tom is a catalyst for exceptionally high quality engineering output, not just his own work, but his aura motivates others he works with to bring their best to the table. At Seeing Machines, I was part of Tom's team that developed a Telematics device that is a Computer Vision powered Driver Monitoring System, capable of detecting Driver Fatigue/Distraction and alerting drivers in Real Time - the complexity in this system is ubiquitous and Tom has been the Lead Systems Architect and one of the most important people in ensuring this product’s continued success, engaging Engineering, Product Management, Operations and Program Management organizations. Engineering design workshops Tom conducted would always result in excellent dialogue and clear design decisions. Documents or artifacts that Tom generated would always be top notch, his extraordinary engineering mindset helps design functionally safe systems that push the capability to its limit while continuing to be technically sound. Tom is a Systems Engineering expert and has a remarkable ability to help others understand the big picture, and revives engineering system design principles that are usually forgotten or overlooked, working with Tom has been one of the most rewarding professional experiences I have had so far in my career. I very strongly recommend Tom as a leader, as a teammate and truly believe that any organization would be lucky to have Tom work for them and care for their product/service. Please feel free to reach out to me should there be any questions about Tom or this recommendation.

Assisted Vice President of Capability and Competency to identify competency deficiencies in the existing company processes, planned out white papers and authored process documents for the company.. I focused primarily on identifying how to run development activities under an Agile Methodology while executing on a project structured in a Traditional DoD Waterfall Infrastructure. We built training materials to assist engineers in understanding what gates and activities are required over the project to deliver to the Government Customers. We also spent time reviewing, updating and building out new business capture packages (e.g., Draft Enterprise Architecture artifacts) and white papers that described Joint Enterprise Cyber-Kinetic Warfare planning systems and presented them to US Cyber Command, receiving promising responses and continued collaboration in defining these future capabilities
