  I am currently working in the Intermodal Department of Evergreen Marine (UK). In this role I handle import logistics, which typically numbers 750-850 container deliveries a week. As part of a two man team, the main task is the allocating and dispatching of import deliveries to third party haulage companies, both road and rail operators. Another key part of the role involves processing booking amendments and answering any queries from customers, colleagues or haulage companies. Other daily tasks involve handling special equipment bookings, such as refrigerated containers or hazardous units, working closely with Customer Service and Equipment Control departments to ensure a smooth and professional service, and managing containers through the Destin8 and CNS port community programs. During my time at Evergreen I have visited the Port of Felixstowe and DP World Southampton.
