Part 1 Architectural Assistant
-
Sep 2017 - Aug 2018
During my year at JMAD Architecture I had a varied experience on projects within the residential sector working on extensions, new builds, a paragraph 55 house and Part Q prior approvals amongst other schemes. While working on these projects I gained a large amount of knowledge on stages 0-4 plan of works. I was entrusted to run my own projects and meet with clients by myself to discuss design briefs, proposed designs and amendments, as well as meeting with planning and building control officers to discuss proposed developments. This has given me a huge amount of experience in liaising with clients confidently and informatively. I regularly carried out a number of site surveys, some of which were extremely architecturally challenging existing buildings. I was also given the chance to develop my technical design skills by working on building regulations and working with structural engineers.
