As a Fuel Service Technician my primary responsibility is to work across the UK at various sites restoring and maintaining the condition of on site customer fuel. I must have a good understanding of the filtration systems required to carry out a variety of fuel cleans ranging from 500 litre generator day tanks to 100000 litre bulk storage tanks, every site has a differing range of challenges and set ups which require some imagination and know how to get the job done.I have also gained knowledge of writing RAMS and the permits required by the different FM companies that I carry out work for. I have conducted fuel polishing and sampling at sites including: hospitals, data centres, MOD sites (requiring security clearance) and many more. Every job and site requires a detailed report referencing the first and final samples of fuel and all the steps in between to give the customer a good understanding of the polishing process and the condition their fuel has been restored too. The reports require use of laboratory and analysis equipment to give a microbial look into the contamination that has been removed.Summary of Responsibilities:• Carrying out fuel polishing and sampling independently • Writing fuel reports including laboratory analysis• Planning RAMS/permits and conducting dynamic risk assessments • Conducting site surveys to plan future works• Servicing fixed fuel polishing units out on site• Breather installations and other remedial works• Security cleared for government and MOD sites

I worked as a Machine Operator producing various vehicle body parts. I was expected to meet production targets and ensuring all parts were sent to the customers meeting the expected quality standard. This job role gave me a good experience of a civilian working life and gave me time to adjust from leaving the military. I gained knowledge of health and safety procedures and the demands a production based job can have especially when it comes to meeting customer expectations. I always performed well and was driven to meet performance targets across a variety of machines and tooling equipment.

      • Oct 2011 - Apr 2016

I upheld the highest levels of discipline and professionalism in order to meet the high standards expected of an Infantry Soldier in the British Army. I was responsible for upholding all the morals of the MOD whilst maintaining myself at battle readiness at all times, meaning I exceeded personal fitness targets and applied myself above and beyond what was expected of me when it came to all aspects of the army lifestyle.I was deployed across 5 continents taking part in conflict and training. I was sent on tour to Afghanistan at 19 in 2013 for 7 months, learning how to live and work alongside friends and colleagues in the most trying of surroundings. I matured very quickly being so young in a war zone and although it was a difficult tour at times we all worked with local people and soldiers taking in new a culture and hoping making a difference to the local area we were patrolling.
