I had the opportunity to work with Tom at Raytheon from 2004-2007. During my tenure, Tom was the chief Clearcase Architect for the DDG 1000 Zumwalt Class Destroyer program. Tom's contributions drove program success as his vision and implementation of the software engineering architecture on this program undoubtedly helped the program become a benchmark for success at Raytheon. Tom's guidance also helped me grow by leaps and bounds as an engineer. Tom would be an asset to any software team.

When I was working at Raytheon, I was assigned as the SCM/ClearCase lead for a couple of the multi-site components of the DDX program. This was a very large program with over 27 sites at the time. These sites spanned across the entire United States. I had the pleasure of working with the Chief Architect, Tom, who impressed me with his ability to pull all these sites together under one very integrated solution. This required him to visit each of these sites and coordinate with several SCM teams as if they were one. He was truly the backbone of this program with his unwavering knowledge of ClearCase and architectural plan to align all sites as if they were one. I learned quite a bit from Tom and feel very fortunate to have had the chance to work with him. I believe he would be an invaluable asset to any company that desires a flagship solution for their software development environment.
