Tom became my manager when I was leading HMRC's Experimentation team during a period of organisational change and transformation. We worked together on strategy to democratise experimentation across the organisation's digital product teams. Tom is a real people person who shows empathy and genuine care for his immediate team and wider colleagues. He helped me believe in my ability at times when I didn’t and is a very supportive leader. He is a web experimentation expert who both understands its business value and the importance of user-centred design choices. He welcomes new ideas and perspectives, is a confident communicator and a great community builder. I hope we can work together again in the future!

Tom and I worked closely together on a number of occasions, where he was UX consultant on the projects I was heading up, namely the Woodland Trust WW1 Centenary Campaign and HMV.com relaunch. Tom has a tremendous brain capacity of being able to distil incredibly complex requirement/ customer conversations into the simplest of concepts – often on the fly while stood at a whiteboard with marker in hand. He is a fountain of knowledge and you can’t help but walk away from conversations with him feeling much smarter than you did before. Tom is brilliant to collaborate with and I’d jump at the chance of working with him again.
