While he was a Software Engineer, he wrote a program for importing huge quantities of data into our proprietary database. This program could be taught to import data in almost any format. It was extremely flexible. The program had some sophisticated Finite State Machine translation code in it. The thing that I most clearly remember about the program is how elegant and beautiful the code was. It was obvious from the code that Todd had put a lot of thought and hard work into the program. His efforts paid off; In the six years I worked at IMR/Captaris, I can't remember a single bug being reported against his program.
