  NMV is excited to announce that THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA is in production for NBC. Debra Messing (Will & Grace, Smash, The Starter Wife) has been cast in the lead role of Detective Laura Diamond. Laz Alonso (Avatar, Breakout Kings) has been cast as her partner, Detective Billy Soto. Josh Lucas (American Psycho, A Beautiful Mind, Sweet Home Alabama) plays Laura's husband, Jake, while Janina Gavankar (True Blood, Arrow, The Vampire Diaries) co-stars as her colleague Meredith. After a bidding war, NBC secured NMV's scripted format THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA (originally Los Misterios de Laura from Boomerang TV Spain).   NMV is thrilled to announce that PERSONAL MOTIVES is in development for ABC. The hour-long thriller was originally created by Carlos Vila and Javier Holgado for Spanish prodco Boomerang TV, and went out on free-to-air channel Telecinco. The Spanish series swept Spain’s Eñe TV Awards its first season with 9 wins, including best series, writing, directing, and cast. Written/executive produced by Andy Stern, the program follows a female news anchor whose husband is accused of murder, prompting her fight to prove his innocence. The US adaptation will be made by ABC Studios. Todd Lituchy will serve as Executive Producer alongside Calamity Jane’s Ellen Pompeo, star of ABC’s medical drama GREY'S ANATOMY, and Laura Holstein.
