  As principal, I managed a team of more than 35 educators and school leaders as they aimed to dramatically impact student achievement in grades 4-8. Responsible for hiring several new school employees, I worked to ensure we had the lowest turnover rate in more than 3 years. I focused on both student and teacher culture, dramatically lowering the suspension rate seen on campus, while increasing the number of culture-building activities and events. Through our team's hard work, we also saw an increase in student achievement, as shown by New York State test scores. Show less

  I consult with the Special Education Collaborative, which is part of the New York City Charter School Center. The Collaborative provides support to more than fifty charter schools in all five boroughs. I have developed, summarized and uploaded several online tools to assist special education departments in their policies and procedures. Additionally, I provided tactical support to the group at sponsored trainings and events for their constituencies.
