  Conventional Machines - Learned basics of multi-spindle screw machine set up and layout. Helped design and implement datum point tooling for 60 Acme-Gridley and Wickman 6 and 8 spindle screw machines as part of the set up reduction team. Converted a CNC retrofitted Acme bar machine into a chucker for more automated 2nd operations. Materials machined were steel, brass, and 300 series stainless steels. CNC Machines - Implemented Mitsubishi wire EDM in tool room. Did all programming for cutting tools and special projects (both manual and CAM assisted). General Engineering - Board drafting of part drawings, machine layouts, and cutting tools. Later converted all of them to CAD format using Micro-CADAM. Manually calculated form tool corrections for rake and clearance angles. Maintained drawing files. Created part routers from quotes. Was trained in an early version of a MRP scheduling system. Market Segments - Captive shop making wide variety of components used in Parker's quick disconnects for pneumatics, hydraulics and instrumentation.
