  This is where I learned the business end of residential home building, in relation to both custom and speculative. I got true "on the job training" by working as a framing crew member and various other trades, to discern the importance of each critical and integral part of constructing a home. Worked closely with Robert Reed, Mr. Garr's son-in-law, and tried to duplicate on my job sites, the quality and attention to detail that he created in his homes.
