Robert Thornton

Todd Wilson is one of the most passionate and well rounded strategic leaders I've had the pleasure of working with. He is intellectually curious, well read, articulate, respectfully candid and able to apply the level of critical thinking required to bring direction out of chaos. I had the pleasure of serving as a consultant to Todd while he was the Director of Leader Development and Education for the US Army Cadet Command. We assisted Todd and his team in developing and drafting a Cadet Character and Leader Development Strategy designed to measure a ROTC cadet's development of core competencies and attributes. The goal was to provide the Army a transparent way to measure and communicate talent and quality across a geographically diverse program (over 275 college campuses) that existed in a range of educational environments. Todd provided focused guidance and direction, but did so in a manner that was inclusive of those who were helping to develop the approach, and those who would have to implement the strategy. He was very conscious of the impact this would have on the Army as an institution, the educators who would bear the burden of assuring quality, and the cadets themselves who would take what they had learned in ROTC and apply it while leading the nation's sons and daughters. I recommend Todd to any organization that desires a committed professional who can apply creativity and logic to solving complex problems while building and leading diverse teams. My time working with Todd is among my career favorites and I would gladly work with him again.
