  In the summer of 2020, the Binnenhof government complex is ready for a renovation that will take more than five years. Just before the planned start, cultural institutions from The Hague and the rest of the Netherlands are creating a once-in-a-lifetime festival on this main stage of democracy. The entire complex and its 800-year history will be part of the festival. The Binnenhof, the democracy and freedom for which the building is an icon, will come to life.
