I had the great pleasure of having TJ report to me during his first experience in a sales role. TJ was an IT Systems Admin prior to making his career transition on a path of personal development and growth. He made this career decision to help prepare himself to move into more sr. positions within the company. TJ took a chance and applied for a sale role with little to no sales experience. This shows TJ’s commitment to that personal growth and willingness to take risks and embrace change. This would be a challenging transition for any individual, but after a few short months I was able to watch TJ step out of his shell. Quickly, I noticed that TJ already had developed key skills from his time spent in IT, which worked well in a customer facing role. Skills such as fast/clear communication, skilled handling customer complaints, providing solutions, a technical aptitude to learn products, and achievement CRM proficiency. I have found TJ’s greatest strength to be his ability to build very strong and deep relationships with key customers and leaders from other companies. This makes TJ a skilled Key Account Manager. He is a team player who works well with others. TJ has learned to become more vocal and built a strong level of trust within the team. His contributions to our sales were instrumental helping us reach our growth targets as a team. Through very challenging global market conditions, TJ was still able to continue to deliver consistent sales results. I enjoyed my time spent working TJ.
