In my thesis work, I focused on computer vision where we were measuring student engagement by processing classroom raw videos. The results were presented on a web portal as summaries to each video analysis. We utilised a number of computer vision libraries including; Face Detectors, Object tracking and Head pose libraries. The main programing language was Python, Shell as well as web development languages for presentation. Most of the open-source libraries were written in C/C++ these included Openpose, Dual Shot Face Detector (DSFD) and YOLOV3 library. The whole system was running on a Linux server.

Open Connect Limited was incorporated in 2016 following Business unbundling in MTL. Malawi Telecommunication Limited cut off all fibre Network to form a separate company that will house, maintain and develop the National Fiber Network. My work included; Coordinating project implementation in accordance with customer demands. Configuring SDH and PDH links for the countrywide Fiber Networks. Evaluate network performance and advise short/long-term solutions. Monitoring Network equipment as well as servers.

NEWL is a Tanzanian Company that subcontracts to Airtel Malawi. I worked in their Malawian branch. I worked on Airtel 4G implementation project. My work involved; Supervising technicians on hardware installation of Base station equipment. Commissioning sites and migrating GSM 2G/3G network to 4G Network running on Nokia all in one 4G SBTS’s.
