Tisha Powell is not only an excellent television journalist, but also an extremely knowledgeable mentor. I started working with Tisha as a production assistant in 2010. She quickly took me under her wing and encouraged me to jump start my career while still in college. She has gone out of her way to make my reporting and anchoring skills better, something totally unexpected from such a busy mom and news anchor! She brings grace, sophistication, and an "aura" to the news desk that is unprecedented and unmatched on any level.

Tisha was one of the absolute best anchors I worked with in my 25 years at WTVD. She was always very prepared in the field and the studio and a strong news anchor who could carry a show by herself with necessarily having to lean on a co-anchor to shine. Her packages were always network quality and gets stronger and more confident each and every day. I enjoyed working with her and will always smile when I look back to the time when I worked with her on newcasts.
