    • Director - Co-Head of Technical Services
      • Jul 2007 - Sep 2012

A tax and superannuation expert, specialising in self managed super funds, Tina Wilson is joint head of the Technical Services team, which provides technical advice, support and training to the Financial Advisory, Investment Advisory and SMSF teams as well as advice to management on a range of issues affecting self managed super fund trustees. Tina started her career as an accountant in a medium-sized firm providing tax advice to small businesses, SMSFs and individuals, and later worked at accounting firm KPMG providing accounting services and advice to clients on a range of tax matters including income tax, FBT and GST. She joined Dixon Advisory in July 2007 as a senior manager in the SMSF Administration team at a time when superannuation rules were changing significantly. Tina then moved into her current role, providing advice on the new laws and continually developing improved procedures across the firm. Today the Technical Services team, led by Tina and co-Director Linda Wilson, helps ensure the firm complies with ASIC, taxation, accounting and superannuation laws and that Account Managers and Advisors provide up-to-date advice to SMSF trustees. The team, which has eight staff across the firm’s three offices, also develops systems and procedures to ensure the SMSF administration service runs smoothly and efficiently. In her role, Tina continually monitors new and proposed legislative changes affecting the superannuation industry. She helps prepare submissions to the federal government on a range of issues affecting SMSF members. This supports Dixon Advisory’s proactive role in the community as a voice for SMSF trustees and retirees as a whole.
