I manage a staff of copy editors and help design layout of the paper every single day. I layout the front page, as well as multiple others using InDesign. I write headlines, read and edit stories and post stories to our website. I also help manage our social media accounts, specifically Facebook and Twitter.

Senior Staff Reporter

Wrote three or more stories each week for either print or online, as well as live-tweet from events I covered. I got the chance to cover very important events such as a vigil honoring Timothy Piazza’s life, important press conferences and breaking news stories as they were happening.

Newsroom Intern at Lewistown Sentinel

May 2017 - Aug 2017
Singlehandedly managed a special section that runs once every year in the newspaper. The project “Get To Know Us” involved me contacting people and conducting over 20 interviews, taking photographs and assembling pages using QuarkXPress with less than two months as my deadline. While working on this project, I also wrote cops reports and briefs, as well as layout pages of the regular daily paper.
