Throughout the course of my academic career, I’ve come to realize that oftentimes one’s classroom conduct can offer deep insight into their moral beliefs, work ethic, and, above all, their character. It is through this lens that I’ve come to see Tina as the inspiring creative and unparalleled leader that she is. Tina and I have spent the last 5 months together in Cranbrook’s Entrepreneurial Leadership class, a class tailored toward students well-versed in both business skills and community service. Throughout the course, we’ve worked toward creating Youth Inc, a social enterprise with the mission of providing young entrepreneurs with the skills and resources to create their own businesses. From the very beginning of the entrepreneurial process, Tina stood out with a constant desire to build on existing ideas as well as her own. A major portion of developing Youth Inc. was to make a slide deck that could be presented to several potential partners in the city of Detroit. However, our group struggled with presenting our ideas and information in a concise, easy-to-understand manner. Tina was our solution. Without hesitation, she took the lead on designing our presentation by merging both her artistic sense and communication with other classmates to ultimately create a PowerPoint that has already astounded multiple Detroit-based entrepreneurs, such as Tom Lewand who has been helping to revitalize Marygrove College. Without Tina’s hard work, none of this would have been possible. Her ability to connect with those that she works with is rivaled only by her incredible leadership style. When I first met Tina, we had the assignment to get to know one other person in the room. I was paired with Tina. From that conversation, I learned what is probably my deepest insight into Tina: her leadership style makes others feel like they’re at home. She helps people become confident in themselves, become driven to contribute to whatever it is that they’re working on, and become the best possible version of themselves. In writing this, I find myself worrying that others will see this as being too good to be true, but I firmly believe that everything I’ve said is completely true. Tina's achievements mean all the more given the context that Entrepreneurial Leadership is a class comprised primarily of Seniors whereas she is currently a Junior. From my own experience, I’ve seen that oftentimes juniors in classes filled with seniors sink into the background, too intimidated to offer their own ideas and insights as the rest of the class appears to be wiser, more qualified, and ultimately more worthy of participating. However, the opposite is true of Tina. As mentioned before, Tina had no problems integrating herself into the class and becoming a key component of the classroom atmosphere. Truly, words cannot do justice to Tina. In every sense of the world, she is extraordinary.

Linh is definitely one of the best partners I've ever worked with. She balances between the prompt that has been given to her and her own unique creativity that marks her works different from the rest. She is great on deadlines, always ready to receive feedback, and such an enjoyable presence to have on a team. Linh's work ethics are very strong, which is what I love about working with her. When working with her in TOI, CHUNG TA Project, I am quite pleased when Linh broke out of her shell (she was quite an introvert) and emerged as a leader of a group. She co-founded the project and invited me to manage it, so I spent a lot of time with her on the best possible strategy for the non-profit. She was working on the creative direction of the project, in which I deem crucial to how I laid out my administrative strategy. Without her creative leadership, TOI, CHUNG TA would not be what it is today. I still remember a time when I asked Linh to redo a logo design for L'Arlésīenne. I would never be as satisfied with our current logo if it isn't for Linh's ability to take constructive criticism and responding me with plans for improvements. Her ambition, grit, and resilience really impress me during multiple of our working experiences together.
