Part of the Global Rental and Used Equipment Services (GRUES) Division. I am responsible for driving large-scale data analysis and modeling initiatives for GRUES, as well as supporting data-driven analyses and discoveries for various GRUES and Caterpillar used and rental machine divisions. Among my accomplishments: - Led a data-driven analysis to demonstrate the value of (and secure support for) the CAT Certified Used warranty program for 2021, which has generated millions of dollars in revenue for GRUES through machine sales revenue, maintenance revenue, and so on. - Helped to create a machine pricing webapp (called the Cat Used Price Advisor, or CUPA) for Caterpillar dealers, allowing them to interact with 15+ years of historical used machine transaction data, value their machine fleet, and understand current market trends across different machine types and geographies. Specifically, I supported, maintained, and helped to improve the data modeling/data processing for the tool, bringing in data from multiple sources/formats and helping to create a model for predicting machine depreciation over time. Part of the Advanced Analytics team in the Center of Excellence at HAVI Global Solutions in Downers Grove, IL. I am responsible for supporting various HAVI projects and initiatives (particularly with respect to McDonald's), as well as driving ad hoc data analysis projects for smaller customers. Among my achievements and projects: - I created an in-house pipeline for reporting the estimated impact of weather on McDonald's transaction count and revenue. I was able to transition from a model generated by a third-party company to creating an in-house model from scratch, and setting up the architecture needed to both generate the data for the model and to output the data to the proper team using Microsoft Azure. This both saved the company $250,000 a year, and allowed us access to the machinery of the model. - I helped to create and maintain a customer-facing webapp for displaying transaction count and sales data to McDonald's owner/operators in the USA (specifically in the Chicago region.) I am responsible for maintaining the data that goes into the app, and helped in the design of the webapp, as well as creating prototype webapps for customers outside the USA (e.g. McDonald's Russia). - Facilitating and presenting data analyses for smaller customers such as Burger King Russia, Sunset Boulevard, IPC (Subway) Australia. Was responsible for crafting hypotheses from smaller customers with limited data and limited parameters. Show less

Performed data analysis on ~20 terabytes of neuronal data gathered from the striatum of rats measuring decision-making in T-mazes. Responsibilities included: - Organizing and maintaining database of neuronal data from past rats/sessions - Developing MATLAB code to search and filter database, to visualize/compare neuronal activity from past sessions, and to analyze active neurons during different parts of the task - Training three rats to run the mazes effectively, and taking recordings from electrical stimulation of their brains. Bioinformatics intern for Prof. Sara Cherry, Ph.D. Organized large expression data sets gathered from 2 years of research on viral pathogenesis. Implemented an R script that clustered the data hierarchically to create a list of gene ontology terms from a chosen sub-cluster. Researched homolog databases to assess feasibility of using gene set enrichment analysis.
