Bio
Aaron Goldstein
Timothy helped me in my campaign for State Representative. It was an honor to work with him. He was full of positive energy and was a hard worker and got a lot done on a limited budget. He was reliable and dedicated to the campaign. I strongly recommend him to work in an organization.
Jennifer Hill
I met Tim when he served as a project reviewer in our 2013 Continuum of Care competition for the Alliance to End Homelessness in Suburban Cook County. I appreciated what Tim brought to this process based on his past experience related to nonprofit management and direct service to people overcoming homelessness and substance abuse. Project review is an intensive commitment where Tim and others evaluated homeless supportive housing programs on their client outcomes, their coordination with other services, and their use of resources to full capacity. Tim was a great addition to the team, and we look forward to his assistance next year and beyond.

Aug 2001 - Apr 2015
Worked on grant writing team to develop Sunlight of the Spirit's Food Pantry into a fully functional agency. This was accomplished by establishing related projects and programs within Sunlight of the Spirit (food, clothing, shelter, transportation, housing and education). Served as coordinator of all seven projects simultaneously, seeing each through to completion. This included establishing fundraising guidelines and producing fundraising events for these projects. These projects were developed to assist homeless men and women and other disenfranchised groups and were secured through creative, innovative fund raising events / grants / private donations and these strong community partnerships:Salvation Army, Growing Homes, Sweet Beginnings, Lawndale Community Center, Youth Works Foundation, Walmart, Illinois Department of Corrections, City of Chicago Workforce Development, Jewish Vocational Center, West Side Health Authority and Americorps. With the help of our strong community partnerships, these transitional job programs were able to employ 40 homeless men and women per year. Projects include: Second Chance Learning Center, serving homeless men and women on Chicago's west side Shabby Chic Thrift Store, Transitional Job program, assisting men and women seeking employment with little or no working skills. Urban Thrift Store, assisting men and women seeking employment with little or no working skills. Global Coffee and Cargo, assisting at-risk youth through job training Community Garden and Recovery Roof Top Gardens, partnered with Urban Habitat assisting ex-offenders and at-risk youth by providing job training through our Transitional Job program. Welcome Packet Project, supervised and coordinated volunteers in making and distributing 1000 welcome packets (toiletries, bedding and hygiene products) yearly to the residents of our housing program partnered with our sister agency, Jack Clark's Family Recovering Community Inc.
