This perspective gives Tim an advantage over other PMs because he's able to understand not just what customers ask for, but also how bad they need it, whether there will be revenue impact, and how best to prioritize it. Having ties to, and/or having worked in so many areas, Tim has a holistic understanding of many different roles and what it takes to run a business. So where the typical PM may have tunnel vision specific to their role, Tim can add value to many other parts of the business, and this also makes it easier to work cross functionally with him as well.
