When Alpha Natural Resources (Parent company of Maxxim) purchase Foundation Coal (Parent Company of Pennsylvania Services Corporation) I worked as part of the group that migrated the domain of the company the was Foundation into the domain that Alpha Natural Resources had. We migrated about 270 users and 240 desktop/laptops in 3 days. • Installed 3 VMware clusters using HP C300 Blade Servers and NetApp Storage. In doing so, we were able to virtualize 85% of our servers. Each cluster has 3 blade servers. Both the Blade chassis and the NetApps are fully redundant. Show less

All IT equipment and wiring was destroyed. Was able to get the network and 80% of the building back online within 24hrs, 100% within 48hrs. • Domain Migration. Worked as part of a group to upgrade the current Windows NT 4.0 domain to Windows 2000 Active Directory upgrading Exchange at the same time. Not only help with the local sites in Pennsylvania but traveled to other location to assist in the migration. • Maintain the Mine Wide Monitoring System • Replaced the applications the Mine used to monitor the operations. Took 3 independent applications and different software packages and converted them into 1 application using 1 standard software package. Also enable remote monitoring, reducing the amount of downtime in production. • Replaced the phone system provide by the local telecom provider with an Avaya IP Office 400 system. As part of this I work with the vendor to make sure that each use that currently had a phone would be able to have an active phone on the new system.
