  Working in the remote town mining town of Roxby Downs on a 4&1 roster living in shared accommodation. The Role comprised of having good knowledge of domestic building codes and practices, also good written and verbal skills, and good computer skills. Works may consist but not limited to, such as onsite works including all types of concreting. Maintenance works on town project housing for the client BHP Billiton, consisting of carpentry and concreting works on domestic and commercial projects. Some works included installing pergolas, decking, painting, tiling, landscaping, concreting, plastering, punch list items, also installing steel and aluminum frames and fire rated doors and furniture, installing fixture and fittings, mezzanine flooring, installing aluminum windows and fitting glazing on large commercial project. Concreting works have included sub stations above and underground at Olympic Dam Mine, concrete footpaths, laydown areas, wash pads, construction of raised bores to service underground facilities, tank stands, footings, concrete plinths, pipe stands. Steel fixing/installation of steel and mesh to requirements of drawings. Working underground running services including water mains, electrical cabling, communication cable, airlines, also works including refurbishments of office and crib buildings. Making sure all works and procedures are in place including signing onto THA, prestart meeting to completed on a daily basis, PPE to be worn at all times, Take Time Take Charge forms to be filled out daily, daily claim sheets to be completed for certain projects. Inductions are to be completed before entering onsite, making sure all safety measures have been put into place. A medical and fit for work have to completed before entering the mine.
