  At CRCOG I manage a variety of projects in transportation and economic development. I am currently working on the following:Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy: for this project I applied for, and was awarded, a grant from the Economic Development Administration. The project is to develop a CEDS for the 38 town region, incorporating the eight towns that joined the region in 2015. Three main tasks are involved: a situational analysis; development of "game changer" strategies; and an analysis and plan for developing institutional capacity to implement the plan. I mange the project, organize and staff two committees, perform data analysis, outreach to stakeholders, and oversee consultant work.Regional Complete Streets Inventory, Network, and Action Plan: for this project I applied for and was awarded a grant from the Connecticut Office of Policy Management. We are developing a regional complete streets plan that will include: a regional policy framework; local best practices; a regional network of priority corridors; and action plan for building out the network. We are engaging the public in numerous creative ways, including popup events, web surveys, demonstration projects, and open planning studios. I oversee consultant work, coordinate with our 38 member municipalities, staff our committee, and conduct outreach activities.

  Project management: Lead planner on projects to: rewrite the region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS); become a designated Economic Development District; develop a Transportation Demand Management Strategy for the Central Connecticut State University (CCSU); apply for Scenic Road designation; and develop an economic resiliency plan for the region Data collection and analysis: collected and analyzed economic, demographic, education, and other data for CEDS, POCD, and other agency plans; wrote Android apps for the collection of geo-referenced bus rider counts and parking lot utilization.Committee support: Served as staff liaison to agency's Comprehensive Plan Committee and Economic Development Alliance; prepared agendas, kept minutes, posted notices, and reviewed materials Zoning and subdivision analysis: Reviewed zoning referrals for consistency with agency plans Grant writing: Wrote successful grant applications for a Farmers Market Promotion Program grant, an Economic Resiliency Plan grant, and a GIS Parcel Mapping project; assisted in writing numerous other grant applicationsPlan writing: Wrote the majority of the region’s updated CEDS; wrote the application for Scenic Road designation in Burlington; wrote the Transportation Demand Management plan for CCSU Representing the agency—Represented the agency on the board of the Hartford-Springfield Economic Partnership, the Central Connecticut Revolving Loan Fund, and Capitol Workforce Partners Public outreach: Conducted public meetings and ensured compliance with public notification laws for CEDS and the CCSU Transportation Demand Management plan
