Project Engineer leading engineering team for the next generation 928 Small Wheel Loader stuctures team in charge of frames, linkage components and other heavy steel components. Spent 18 months in Nottingham, UK as a Senior Design Engineer. Liason between manufacturing facility and design center. Concepted heavy fab designs utillizing laser technology that reduced manufacturing time and tooling costs. Created prototypes of the concepts and made 2 presentations of designs to CEO during this time. Designed the first curved glass cab and ROPS/FOPS design for the backhoe loaders in early 2000. Was also able to innovatively incorporate A/C duct work and seat mounting into the ROPS saving significant money per machine. Was put on special assignment to redesign CWL rear frame at Sanford, NC facility just prior to going into production. Started as a Design Engineering working on 928G frames in Clayton, NC. Designed the first rear frame with welded in full tank that was integral into the structure performance and weight distribution of the machine saving money over previous generations. Followed this machine through it's life cycle - Prototype, Prove Design, Production & Service Life Maintanence. Show less
