Tim is an outstanding partner with stellar ethics and extreme professionalism. His work is impeccable and his communication style is endearing. Simply a great guy and a very valuable partner to have in your corner. Absolutely love working with Tim and his team.

I've known Tim since 2008 when he effectively rescued me from a supremely difficult economic situation and gave me a chance to prove myself at OCC. I had to work very hard to become successful, but it would not have been possible without the mentorship and guidance that Tim showed me over the following years. To this day, we remain great friends and I would have no hesitation in advocating his services to others. A hard working family man of true integrity, he's one of the good guys. Cheers, Tim.

I own and run Park Lane Recruitment, a small specialist FAMILY recruiting business that carries out senior level IT Sales, Technical and Managerial recruitment, for clients across the UK, Europe, and the USA, with a niche focus on CyberSecurity, Defence IT and SaaS both Technical and Sales. From June 2016 to July 2017, I was retained part time as Recruitment Director solely responsible for the recruitment for Send Resourcing of freelance, commission - only Recruiters to join the SEND network as independent Recruiters, freeing them from employment and bringing them to a true work /life balance supported by a hugely successful business. From June 2016, till 2022, I was also retained as European Business Manager for EMW (a major US based Defence IT Services company) managing their European operations focusing on supplying NATO with a wide range of senior technical contractors including Cybersecurity specialists, on long term contracts. Park Lane remains a key supplier of contractors to NATO. If you have a national and/or NATO Security Clearance (or would like to) and would like to work at NATO (and ideally have the right to work in the EU), contact me today! Show less

SCC is a multi-billion IT Services company that enables people to do business by planning, supplying, integrating, and managing their IT. Clients include British Airways, National Trust, BBC Worldwide, Eurostar, AO.com, TalkTalk, WHSmith, Gist, Stobart Group, BAE Systems, Thomson Holidays and many more.... I was brought in to perform an Interim Recruitment Director role helping to improve SCC's recruitment business with particular focus on building their CyberSecurity niche. I helped to restructure their approach, carried out due diligence of their processes, implemented various changes and helped them to partner better with internal business managers to provide a 'connected' service to clients. I brought a proactive and ‘can do’ approach to management with my expertise in Recruitment Operations, building relationships and fostering stakeholder engagement. I was involved with teams across multiple sites and managed change while exceeding SLA’s. My approach resulted in significant cost savings and revenue improvement, increased quality, insight and greater regulatory compliance and the successful outcome of the promotion of an internal full time Recruitment Manager. Co-Director of OCC - one of the longest established of all specialist IT & Technical recruitment companies in the UK. OCC is a preferred supplier to many FTSE clients in the UK and blue-chip companies internationally. This covered both Contract & Perm staff from either our extensive database or through expert utilisation of Job Boards, Social Media and headhunting. Although I jointly ran OCC I was and always have been a very hands-on leader and continually delivered recruitment services to clients that I won across the UK and Europe, particularly in the CyberSecurity sector working in-depth into the Defence, Space and Financial Technology sectors. I was also instrumental in successfully taking the business through ISO9000 certification, ensuring the quality of the operation and was responsible for evaluating suppliers and reducing operating costs where possible. During my time here the turnover increased from around £6m to £9.5m whilst always remaining profitable, even throughout the 2008 recession, and the business is firmly established as one of the go-to independent specialist IT providers. Accepted a permanent position as Sales Manager to takeover the day to day running of Proem IT from the founder. With offices in Knutsford, Bracknell, London and Bromsgrove, Proem specialised in placing both IT Technical & IT Sales people. I focused at senior levels across the UK and internationally, but particularly in the Computer Security Software sector. I was brought in on an interim basis to completely overhaul the IT recruitment division of the Remarc Group, a large Leeds/Manchester based IT Training, Professional Development and Recruitment business. Remarc provided services to clients across the whole of the UK from small businesses to FTSE100 clients. The Training side was massively successful but the IT Recruitment division had been struggling. My role was to carry out a rapid refocus and restructure of the division. This involved improvement of processes, training, recruitment and development of recruitment staff, integration with the Training business (to maximise existing business relationships) and ultimately the selection and promotion of an existing staff member into the new permanent manager for the division. Initially this was my own company, selling e-learning software to the Call Centre market and subsequently recruitment services to clients across the IT and Call Centre industries. I developed successful relationships at C-Level with clients large and small across the UK. Ultimately I moved more into the Recruitment side of things when clients asked me to source people for them, particularly in the Computer Security sector. The success of this led to an approach by another IT Recruitment business that wanted to move into the Security sector. I made the decision to merge my business in Nov 2004 into Bestecs and I joined them as Sales Director. By Nov 2006 I was seeking a new challenge however and accepted the interim management role with Remarc. Show less

Building on the success of my time running Interskill, I was asked to join the very large and well established spin off company from the National Computing Centre, NCC Education. Initially this was to take over the running of the UK based sales team of 10 staff. This team sold the British IT and Business qualifications to delivery centres around the world. Over the next couple of years I not only increased sales by over 100% to £6m, but set up international sales teams in Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Cape Town and in Singapore (where the parent company was based). I spent much of my time travelling the world, managing these teams (a branch manager in each location with up to 6 sales staff), as well as directly managing the UK based team. I was involved in very high level meetings with Government departments in each of the countries we sold into (which was 27 when I started and 42 by the time I finished), as well as helping to close some multi-thousand pound deals. For the year 2000 I acted as Interim Managing Director, whilst the Board found a permanent MD. This meant not only running all the sales, but also the academic board, the marketing team, the help desk, the product design team and the software development function. During this period I also took the company through ISO9000 accreditation as well. With the downturn of the early 2000’s, post Dot.Com bubble, the business needed to make a number of savings and as I was looking to set up my own business, I decided to take the opportunity of redundancy. I was asked to evaluate some new e-learning software (delivering IT training courses) by VNG's owner, to see whether I thought it was a viable product for the UK market (it was developed in Australia). I reported that I thought there would be a market for it and was asked to set up a new company for the group – and Interskill was born. I grew the business from scratch, initially direct sales UK focused, then over the next 7 years expanding to cover full distribution sales as well as direct across Europe and a fully managed subsidiary based in Los Angeles, United States. We also acquired another e-learning development company so as to be able to offer bespoke e-learning development for clients and acquired two classroom based training companies so we could offer both types of IT training. Ultimately became one of the top ten UK IT Training companies with a turnover exceeding £10m. Ultimately I directly managed 25 staff in the main office and indirectly 100 other staff including sales, support and trainers. In 1995 VNG was sold to Computer People and I reported to the CEO directly. Eventually however the decision was taken to divest the Interskill business to focus purely on IT Recruitment, so the parent company sold the training business and I decided to take redundancy at this point. Company was eventually sold. Show less

After deciding to move into IT Recruitment I started as a Trainee Consultant with sole task of building permanent business in the Manchester area, working from the Birmingham office. Living away from home all week was a great incentive to build business quickly – and by Oct 1985 I had achieved enough to warrant opening a central Manchester office and I was promoted to youngest Branch Manager in the company history. Then I was headhunted by VNG and I was made an offer I could not refuse (double salary and a car!) to move there. Show less
