Within the R&D department of Océ I have been working on two projects: the VarioPrint i300 and the PlotWave. - At the VarioPrint project I worked on a redesign of a function that positions sheets of paper with high accuracy at high speeds. Main activities were testing, data analysis, simulation and redesign (physical and control). - At the PlotWave project I was the driving force in solving mechatronic issues. Main activities are testing, data analisys and stakeholder management. I joined a project during the functional specification phase. The project is commissioned by PragmatIC (UK), the world leader in ultra low cost flexible electronics. In this project, I played a role in the development and evaluation of design concepts for fully automated "fab-in-a-box". I furthermore defined the associated requirements for both suppliers and customer. In my employment at VDL ETG learned much about the semiconductor industry, system design, defining specifications, decision trade-offs, and interaction with customer and suppliers. Show less
