SCO Family of Services hosts Bridges to Health which is a Medicaid program dedicated on keeping foster care children with special needs in the community instead of institutions like hospitals or prisons. Bridges to Health services children whole qualify as seriously emotionally disturbed, developmentally delayed, and medically fragile, with a DSM Axis 1 diagnosis. As a member of the Intake Unit, Timothy worked with children and families, developing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, representing the agency in a trusting relationship with the family, and determining in what ways the program can best intervene.
