Main responsibilities include supplier evaluation, appraisal, ECN management and supplier negotiation. Some of the commodities I have managed include plastics, aluminium, steel tubing and electronic sub-assemblies. I have been employed to help realise the business long term strategy to source quality product from LCC’s (Low Cost Countries). Achievements • Negate the increase in Aluminium extrusion from our current supplier (36%) by outsourcing to a China Mill. • Savings on packaging of 18%, despite the continued increase in the price of raw material • Savings estimated to be £164,000 on steel tubing, by resourcing to Western European Mill. • Devised and implemented a supplier evaluation/appraisal process in line with ISO9002 requirements.
