  Holland, Michigan Originally started as a shipper, then moved to the final assembly area but still help out the shipping department as needed. Shipper responsibilities included cleaning chambers, touching up paint, applying stickers and any last pieces of hardware, packaging jobs (which may include building skids, shrink wrapping the chambers, banding each chamber to the skid, and/or building crates), and driving a hi-lo to pick up chambers and load skids onto trucks. Shipper responsibilities included cleaning chambers, touching up paint, applying stickers and any last pieces of hardware, packaging jobs (which may include building skids, shrink wrapping the chambers, banding each chamber to the skid, and/or building crates), and driving a hi-lo to pick up chambers and load skids onto trucks. Responsibilities in the final assembly include stacking and securing the top half of a chamber onto the bottom half, hanging the door to the workspace of the chamber using a lift cart, final electrical wiring, final refrigeration work, installing extra options and/or checking that all options were installed in the previous areas, and checking to make sure everything is installed correctly.   Bus driver while studying at the University of Michigan. Spent my last 2 years driving U of M's buses through and around Ann Arbor. I became familiar with every route and did a number of charter runs as well, including several trips to the airport in Detroit to pick up the school's athletic teams returning home.
