  As the principle graphic and web designer in a small family-run business I would be in discussion with clients throughout each project. This involved taking briefs, presenting and developing ideas with the client and meeting the agreed deadlines along the way. This design-work included branding, design for print and web design/construction.I was also responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of all Apple Mac computers and networking in the office, and upkeep of the project archive. As supervisor to those we offered work experience to (GCSE age through to graduates) I was responsible for their interviews, briefs, deadlines, guidance and assessment.

  Although most were trained on one department, I was chosen to be trained on all so that I could be used flexibly across the store. A proven knowledge and efficiency in the store’s large warehouse led to me being given a role that was effectively ‘warehouse manager’: receiving deliveries, stock-checking and organising, as well as sending and receiving repairs and problem-solving any issues with the tills and computer systems.
